Small but bustling little garden center, great for gifts any time of year but especially at christmas where loads of festive displays can be found. Lovely sweet shop and little cafe where you can find a nice lunch at a reasonable price (including plenty of veggie options). You can get all your plants/fish/garden ornaments here, great place for an afternoon!

Visited yesterday (Sunday) following dad's recent heart attack, and it was his wish to go there as wanted to get out the house. Garden centre itself is excellent, however, the cafe (along with the customer service) is to be admired. We ordered a variety of "freshly made" cakes and had a mixture of tea, coffee and hot chocolates which equated to over £27. The cakes were dry, my pot of tea (which gives you two cups) had 1 tea bag in it! Dad said his decaf coffee was weak and the base of mums lemon meringue wasn't cooked/baked properly. I politely went and spoke to the assistant manager, who was as useful as an ashtray on a motorcycle... his attitude stank and his response was "you're the only one who's ever complained about our cakes and drinks"..... wow! (Not the first time we've dined there, so why didn't i complain before!? Hmmm) Really disappointed as this used to be one of our favourite places. Felt sorry for dad as well as he was looking forward to a nice trip out, instead it stressed him out. All because of the lack of customer service from "Mr Assistant Manager". Should have done the right thing mate! Shocking.

First visit after being told about it by the in laws. Lovely perfectly sized soft play area for my little boy and the staff were so nice, friendly and accommodating. It was so spotlessly clean and very well kept. Very well stocked with all the plant and garden stuff you need and all the fun gifts and extras I love looking round! Will definitely be back

Better when it was Scotland nurseries but still decent, Coffee/ resteraunt has good selection but tad expensive especially with add ons and EVEN 50p for cream with coffee instead of milk. Shame most breakfast choices are served on too small a plate or more than 1 breakfast and all toast comes on 1 tea plate or scones on saucers. Very well priced garden centre generally with offers for family card members and great range of plants.

Kath at the play barn is amazing she’s like family to our children she’s so lovely, accommodating and runs that place as if it was her own. We look forward to seeing her all the time and she helps me with my two small children Wilbur and polly. She’s a real refreshment to see working so well. You won’t get that type or custom anymore she deserves a medal. She’s a beautiful soul xxx
